I'm back from Taiwan!

It was a very tiring 8 days trip, worst than working for a week in Singapore! I think I have phobia going overseas with a tour group. All travelling time from one place to another and we have to rush from place to place but it is a must go for the second time for free & easy!

One whole day of rest and I'm back to work today. One week of leave caused a whole pile of work stacking up on my desk waiting for me to clear but my lovely bf brightens up my day! A bouquet of roses were delivered to my office this morning:)

Nowhere better than this place and I shouldn't abandon this space here for too long. Have been keeping myself very occupied since September till now. From my birthday prep to HSR dinner& dance to F1 event to my batam trip and all the birthday celebrations. I always flip back my organizer and reflect on what I have done for the past few months and I'm always asking for more time. It's just a blink of an eye and it's coming towards the end of year 2010.

I'll be flying off next Saturday to Taiwan! I'm already on holiday mood and one more week of work seems to be so draggy!!!

I just purchased a pair of Marie Cat cookies cutter online so most probably I'll be receiving them somewhere next week and I'm so eager to try out one of the butter cookies recipe adopted from happy home baking. We will always share our recipes with each other and it started off with butter cookies when I'm still primary school. I'm being taught to bake butter cookies in primary 5 or 6 and I got hook on them! So we started to try it out with our mini oven at home. Till then, these few years, we don't buy birthday cakes anymore because sis will always bake a cake for all of us! Everyone loves it and we are all so proud of her:)

Start anew

I'm given a better offer last week and now I'm here preparing my resignation letter. People are asking me to think through and think twice before making such decision. Some even said that I have to look into my career path and start to plan them but if I'm not planning my career path I won't even look for a better job. I don't wish to stay in office line forever or maybe not at the moment. I'm still given the chance to face challenges, find my passion and lastly choose my career. I'm gonna work hard in this brand new environment.

Torn between two

I think straight after I graduated, classified section is my favourite among the other sections in the papers. Not that I can’t find a job, I just feel like trying all kinds of job that can be found in the classified recruitment. I ended up in HSR being an account assistant for half a year and I enjoy working, having fun with my colleagues, appreciating the beneficial welfare. Though it can be quite stressful preparing all my reports every month but it’s not that bad after all. It’s really comfortable to have an office job like this, feeding myself everyday and can’t get myself off the chair end up having such a big ass now.

Well, it’s really hard to decide whether to change into something brand new, something that I yearn for even before graduation, something which can be a stepping stone for me. Whatever it is, I’m looking forward for my second interview.

In fact is my dentist who is the one postponing the appointment due to his reservice and his super pack schedule. Moreover, there are some problems with my gums and it hurts. I can predict that tomorrow he's gonna torture me. Worst still, I won't be enjoying the food in Malaysia on Sunday. Scheisse!

PICNIC!

Went Changi beach with my family and relatives on one of the Sunday. These aunties and uncles are addicted to all these outings, exploring new parks in Singapore. Last month outing was at the new Woodlands Waterfront Park and I don’t even know it’s only just right behind Republic Poly.

We only start to have so many family outings when all of us are grown up, whereby my sisters are married and shifted out. Perhaps this is when we need more of these outings to keep the family bonding. I’m looking forward to have more of these and it will be my fruitful weekends. CHEERS!

I made approximatively 80 curry puffs on Father's Day. Not that daddy loves curry puff and not that I really fancy them but I'm just curious to find out how to make those curry puffs with the spiral skins that the 1A crispy puffs are selling. I managed to get the texture of the skin though but I still prefer Old Chang Kee's curry puff with the thick crust at the edge which I'll always bite them off first:)

GRADUATION 2010

A mixture of feeling during graduation day, Hadi is unable to graduate together with me but I'm really proud of him that he actually made it to the school alone by cab just to attend my graduation ceremony. Mum went with me and the two of them are the ones that I'm really thankful for, during the 3 years in RP. Mummy support me financially and gave me all my freedom and hadi always motivates me in my studies and also in the gym. THANK YOU!!!

Finally, I managed to bring hadi to town, watched movie and had frolick together after so long! I really missed those days, but no point looking back because we have brighter roads ahead of us!

A little getaway

Congrats to my dearest sis, happily married on the 25th of April! Oh my, another one leaving the house and soon I'll be all alone with my parents and granny. Sisters come home more often please, I will miss all of you.

Hadi was able to attend sis ROM and he finally came to my place on Sunday! Exactly after 4 months after the accident and all I can say is that I'm so proud of him. A solely shopping spree trip

We can wake up at 7am every morning and our long shopping day starts after our breakfast. All the shopping queens and king takes it all.

Reached bkk at 830am and first stop was platinum mall, wholesale prices are the best. CHEAP CHEAP:)

Took our first tut-tut to Suan Lum night market, nothing much to shop but the massage was awesome.

I'm back!

Thank god we had a safe yet thrilling trip at bkk! The red shirts protesters and the rioting over there just can't stop us from going over. At the very last minute while they declare bangkok at a state of emergency, the 4 daring survivors still insisted to go on with the plan. I know we made our family members and friends worried but we tried to contact them everyday to update the situation over at bkk and inform them that we are safe.

I'm grateful to have the 3 of them around, gan, xf and kl. We kept close together throughout, no lost and found, shop till we drop, sweats all over, shop till we have no strength to carry our own shopping bags! LOL. I really enjoyed myself and this is the best trip ever and I'm sure we will be back soon with more thai bahts:) HAHA! Will upload photos pretty soon.

Fox kids Fashion Show

I dropped by at Paragon on Saturday to support mysara, hadi's little cousin. She is only eight years old and she's being selected to be one of the fox kids models. She's so adorable, called me up few days ago and wanted to invite me to the show to support her. She is so irresistible and I promised her that I'll be there for sure. These little models are awesome, doing cat walks at their runway and in front of such a big crowd!One word-TALENTED:)

The only thing I know is that you are getting stronger each day. We tried to walk further every time we meet up, we tried taking escalators and travelators and I was actually very worried that you might miss the steps but I know I must trust you and have the confidence in you. We did groceries shopping at the supermarket as well and soon we'll go even further and shop at even bigger malls. You did a good job anyway so don't give up on yourself because I am not!

my awesome weekend was like a flash

1. Had a very basic free medical checkup from my company on Friday. My very first time going for such medical checkup. It's fun but at the same time scary while waiting for them to brief you the results of your test.

2. Met up with carol for dinner after work @ Soup spoon and shop a little.

3. I met my dear boy on both Saturday and Sunday and I managed to pass him his Christmas gift. I really appreciate how his dad is helping us to arrange all the meet ups. I'm thankful for all the guidance from him on how to take care of hadi and the technique to push him around when his in a wheelchair and stuff.

4. Movie on Saturday night. "Being Human", jack neo's movie and I swear that's the worst movie ever.

5. A good start on a Sunday morning, i met xf for a swim and I'm missing the scorching sun already.

6. Family dinner to wrap up my weekend and of course prepared by my dearest mum, home cooked food is always the best!

My dear boy is going home tomorrow!

Hadi is constantly improving and I'm so glad that he's able to discharge tomorrow after staying in the hospital for 2 months and 14 days. I will miss him badly though as I wont be seeing him so often anymore. He's mobility is not very stable yet but he is trying to walk a lot now and training very hard to be better, especially for his left hand. That explains why he still can't manage to go out alone but well it's good enough to see such improvements since day one till now. I'll be waiting still, our days will be back to normal soon!:)

I'm so in love with mushroom soup!!! Met up with jeannie and nic yesterday right after my work. Had soup spoon for dinner and I don't mind having the mushroom soup with bun everyday.

Work is pretty good so far, working hours are passing so fast everyday. I'm actually looking forward to all the attractive staff incentives, mainly are complimentary grooming services for ladies every month. I'm gonna book my appointments soon!

BRACES UP!

I'm finally having metals and wires in my mouth! Very uncomfortable but it's not painful at all just that I can't really chew at the moment so I'm back to soft diet again.

Baby just called me and his making me so worried! He told me that he fell down this afternoon and this was the second time. He tried to transfer himself from his wheelchair to his bed but he couldn't balance himself. I hope everything is fine, he can't afford to suffer from any injuries anymore.

Baby, you told me that the fall actually brings down your morale. Please don't be affected by that, do uphold that spirit in you and continue to improve. Do not let the things you can't do interfere with what you can do! Your discharge date is postponed, not because you are not doing good. It's because that you still have the potential to progress and do better. We want to see you walk out of the hospital with no assistants. Be strong my love.

I'm going to get my braces fixed tomorrow evening, I'm so excited now!!! This should be the first time I'm looking forward to see my dentist. Probably due to all the tedious procedures I've went through like the extraction and just for this braces I took up to 4 X rays. On the other hand, my cash is draining out everything I visit the dentist, without fail my bill will always costs a BOMB!

Thank god, i found a job in HSR. I started work after the day I went for my interview, I guess they really need manpower and for me I really wish to get a job. Whatever it is, I still can't believe that I'm under their accounts department. I'm afraid to see those numbers actually but I'll just give it a try and no doubts I'm learning loads of new things everyday.

After my work yesterday I received 7 messages and 2 missed calls from baby! Omg I'm so happy!!! After around 2 months he managed to get back his phone. He said that he has forgotten how to use it but fret not, his picking up things pretty fast now. He can't really type well due to his vision on his left side is still weak and perhaps it's a touch screen phone. I'll try my best to understand all the messages he's trying to convey. I think its quite challenging and fun though, trying to crack his mind! His left side is improving a lot, his able to do some movements and his strength is coming back:)

To you, I might be useless, you said that I shouldn't visit him because it doesn't make any difference with my presence. You said that I did nothing to help him improve his condition. You observed that he did not do so well for all his therapy just because I'm there to distract him. Please stop pointing fingers at me and do ask your son for his opinion before spouting such negative comments of me to other people.

You are the one who said that I should not take up this responsibility to take care of him, I should not touch him, then what else can I do rather than visiting him and buying all his favourite food for him, talking to him, giving him the moral support, . It really feels terrible when you try to care for someone you loved seems so hard and whatever you do is wrong. Seriously, sometimes I rather you kill me straight than tortured me to death.

I want my baby back!

Hadi starts to talk a lot but he is emotionally unstable. He can be very angry and blame me not bringing him home and the next moment saying he love me. When he is in good mood, he speaks like a little children which is not like the usual him and that really make me worried. At times he will be very aggressive and demanding, wants everything to go his way. I will always try to make him understand and talk to him properly but he don't seems to listen now. He will just say whatever that comes to his mind and never join me in the conversation.

Today I made him sing along with me, which is one of our favourite pastime when he will strum his guitar and we'll sing together. He manage to remember the lyrics of some of his favourite songs! Now and then he will always whisper to me saying that he miss me. Then I'll ask him what he will do when he miss me, he said he will think of me and think of the sweet moments we had before:)

My sweet silly boy, i know this tough time won't last forever, I'll be waiting!

I'm messed up, confused and puzzled, I don't know what should I do again.

Hadi and I had a good chat two days ago and that's the only time I see him opened up himself and start talking so much to me. However, his mood is very unstable and he can keep quiet for the whole day as well. His discharge date is tentatively on 4th March, might be earlier or later depending on his recovery.

I just can't wait for everything to be back to normal because I'm equally suffering right now. Sometimes, i just wonder what I have done wrong to receive such treatment. Baby, I really need your help!

A new month again and see how time flies, it's kinda scary to think about it. Two more weeks and I'm out of school! But who cares, as long as I can see my baby recovering. He's able to move his left hand fingers a little and his intensive physiotherapy starts today. His extremely quiet these few days which I have no idea why but today he finally said "I love you" softly to me and he turn my frown upside down:)

How deep is your love?

This could probably be one of the lowest point of my life that I'm going through but I kept telling myself that I should not break down once again. I promised myself not to weep anymore, I know this will only make me weaker. I shall uphold that pride in me and do what whatever which are good for the both of us. I'll treat it as our love is being put to test, not being able to see him everyday, spending much lesser time with him, not being able to touch him, with the least access of communication to him, I believe my heart is still with him. Both of us have to fight for it, we need to have both hands to clap together and if only our love is true, we will be stronger and succeed. Rather than hatred, I should be thankful to her that she has help the both of us to see how deep is our love for each other. If we are meant for each other, we will pull through this together.

Why do i get such things in return?

Do I really impose such a bad girl image to you guys or plainly because I'm just an outsider? Why do I have to be restricted to the duration of the visiting hours? I don't get specific reasons for me to take in this request from you guys. I understand that we have to listen to the elderly and respect them but all I need is a relevant reason but when i asked for that, I don't get any. You guys feel uneasy when i am around, fine I take this because I do not belong to your family. Seeing me as an outsider, then treat me as a stranger then and don't be bothered about my presence.

Seriously, I have no idea what's next for me. When things turned bad you start pointing fingers, when things are better, you start restricting.

Baby, no more tubes!!!

Yes, finally he is able to consume his meals orally and not through the painful feeding tube anymore:) Speaking up still seems to be very hard for him but at least he's trying it more frequently now and of course there are improvements. Left side of his body is still weak and baby, practice makes perfect so work hard on your physiotherapy everyday!

Baby is able to recall back some of the things happened in the accident and if he is right that there was a hit and run. That fucking irresponsible reckless driver in his red car, he won't get away just like this. The police will haunt him down and he's gonna enjoy all the consequences that he gonna face! Thus, they are still doing all the investigation and baby is still not ready for any statement to be taken down. Well, most importantly he must get well soon! I MISS YOU:(

I FEEL YOU.

Hadi is doing very good, his improvements are awesome! I always tell him that everytime I visit him he must give me a surprise by showing me his improvements because I wanna share the joy with my family and friends.

He is able to write and type on a laptop now and he is getting stronger each day. He tried to walk today with some assistants, however his left side of the body is still very weak for now. I finally get to see him open his mouth this evening while he is going through his speech therapy. He still can't really speak as he's still quite weak at his vocal but he tried his best and managed to produce a wee bit of his charming voice.

Though these motor skills and basic movements are easy for us but for him he needs extra efforts to do them. At times I feel so helpless to see him in this state, I can see that he feels upset too when he can't move his left hand and leg then he will just shake his head. I believe the day will come like how i waited for him to respond to us.

He gave me a sad face this evening when I said I'm leaving soon and I stayed a little longer to accompany him. Thus, I explained to him that his hospital is at Jurong and it takes one hour or so for me to travel back home and he gave me a shocking expression. He is still very understanding and I told him no matter how far he is, I'll visit him whenever I can and lastly he gave me a smile:) Thank you dear!

Today you can even nod and shake your head when we asked you questions. When I asked you for your hand and you gave it to me, you hold it tight and start to play with my finger nails, like how you always use to do that to me. The part I hate the most is to bid goodbye to you when I’m about to home but you made me smile today. You raise up your arm and wiggle your fingers at me and when I went nearer towards you. You shoved my hair and that’s so sweet of you:)

Although her words sting but I still learn to be stronger each day. I have the urge to give up and the feeling is so strong but I know I will not let go. "Do you think who's at fault?" and I answered firmly "nobody is at fault".

I broke down whenever this question flashes right in front of my face. It's not that I'm being shameful that I did not blame it on myself. Yes, we learnt from our wrong decisions or mistakes and we should understand each other better from now on and not thinking who's at fault. Nobody is at fault because we don't wish for such things to happen and let's face the reality and not pointing fingers at each other or ourselves. No one is perfect out there and same goes to me and you.

Probably I'm not an ideal girl but I'm not trying to change your culture, neither do I have the power to do so. I'm so sorry if i have made such impacts to your family but I also seek for your understanding that as generation goes by, people do change. We are just in our teenage years, enjoying the things that we are doing, nothing harmful.

Sigh, I have better things to do with my studies, UTs, FYP report and poster which are driving me crazy. i can't wait for school to end!!!

Dear boy, school is a dread without you around, I think the next 5 weeks will be my worst time in RP that I will be going through. Sigh. Baby, I miss giving you wake up calls every morning, meet you during breakouts for our favourite fish soup and subway. The times we gym up to 3 times a week, we'll always rush to the gym right after lessons and snatch all the weights and benches that we need. Those painful abs session with you that you will scream all your vulgarities. Though I complained a lot that we are always going gym but at the end of the day we actually had loads of fun.

Hey baby! You are really getting better day by day. Today we tried to untie your right arm and you are able to raise it really high. You tried to place it on your face and I guess you feel itchy or something? Your right arm is pretty heavy with that cast on and you are very strong, full of strength to bring it so high up. A few times, you tried to wave or something and your dad was really touch! Like what he said, tears of joy! It's good that you are moving a lot but don't forget to respond to us alright. My dear boy, I'm glad to see that you are able to breathe on your own today but of course I know you are having some difficulties as you are coughing quite a lot and you have a lot of phlegm as well. You are having fever today and hopefully by Thursday you will be well for your second operation. Doctor said all those movements from you are your reflexes, your involuntary movements. Words from me to you

Baby, we are suppose to celebrate our 2nd year Anniversary and Christmas with my family. I waited for you at home for nearly 2 hours and I know something is not right. You won't leave me alone just like that, I shed my tears, called up your house, listen carefully to all the sound of the bike because your bike sound is so distinguish and I always got it right and I looked out the window every few minutes to check out whether you are here yet. After nearly 3 hours of waiting I called your house the second time and your dad told me that you had an accident and you are unconscious in the hospital. Me, my sister, my brother in law and my dad went down to the hospital and you were having your operation. We were so worried and pray that you will be safe. We waited outside the operation theater for about an hour or so, finally you were out and warded to the ICU. It's a heartache to see you like this, tubes all over you.

I know you are unable to read all these now but I know you will be awake soon. Yes it will be very painful but you are my strong boy! Everything will be alright and I'll be there taking good care of you. There are loads of gifts waiting for you to unwrap them too. I have unwrapped my present and I love it, it's a zebra prints leggings and he knows that I'm looking for nice leggings. Thanks dear! I'll visit you tomorrow and I believe it will be a better day. Everyone is praying for you too, be strong. I love you always.

Removing those stitches hurt like F. Though Dr Tay tried to be very gentle and thoughtful but it's too painful that he can't remove all of them. For now all I have to do is to wait for them to drop off by itself, let my wound heal and I'm ready for braces:)

Get out!

I can't wait for weekends to be here and the swelling on my face to subsides, I'm rotting at home for 5 days already. Now I still have the burger face, its ugly.

Tomorrow everyone will be leaving to Malaysia and I'll be at home alone. Meaning I have to cook my own meals and I get hungry every 2 hrs because I'm taking all fluid or soft food and they digest pretty fast but it really makes me feel so fat.

Hopefully, I'll be better tomorrow so that I can get out of my house to get some fresh air and do some shopping, I have yet to shop for Christmas presents. On a happier note, sisters outing on Sunday! I miss them so much, time to catch up:):):)

Yesterday I went for my surgery and it was not bad after all. I made a last minute decision to remove the third wisdom tooth as well so in the end I actually extracted 9 tooth!

5 tooth hidden in my gums and the other 4 are just normal tooth extraction.

They made me wait for quite long to enter the operation theater and I felt so giddy and my blood pressure dropped suddenly, I think I was too anxious and hungry. Everyone is so worried and quickly put me on dripped. The nurses and doctors at NDC are nice and caring:)

When it was my turn they pushed me in and so many nurses were helping out, they clipped something on my toe and finger, striped me up, give me oxygen mask and lastly inject the anesthetic. Finally, I passed out so quickly and had a good sleep. Ironically, I remembered dreaming about something during that 2 hours of surgery and when the nurses wake me up I was telling myself who is disturbing my sleep. LOL Then the next second I remembered that I just had my surgery.

It was not that painful that I thought as my mouth area were all numb and I can't drink and eat properly, everything just dripped all over the place without me knowing. Feeling very uncomfortable because it's full of stitches in my mouth. Dad, mum and hadi were there throughout the day and they made me feel so much better.

Dad comfort me a lot, mum cook all my meals, hadi prepare the medicine and help to clean up for me during my meals. He also bought yogurts and 2 tubs of ice creams for me:) Thanks everyone!

The photo below is quite gross but I'm really amazed that the doctor is able to extract so many tooth at one go.

These are some of it only, I donated a few more to my doctor as he is doing some study on molars and canine tooth:)

Yes please bless me because I’m going for my surgery tomorrow morning and my 8 teeth will be gone! I want to get it over and done with and quickly fix those braces, so desperate that I’m already thinking of the colours combination for my braces:)

As usual, daddy only get to know that I’m extracting so many teeth just a few hours ago when he asked me. He said “ woah so many, meaning you can’t eat for a lot of days!” Then he suggested that I can eat ice cream everyday! He is so funny, I hope he will get some yummy ice creams for me. Credits to him first as he will be paying all my medical fees which definitely costs a bomb.

Thanks wenjie for all the advice because he just went through the same shit few months ago. He told me every single details that I will experience and that made me freak out. I asked a lot from him too to get myself prepared.

Being a nanny is not an easy job I swear, not one kid but total eight of them. Basically, I'm taking care of the kids who are performing in the event-Cirque on ice. We have to follow them around, keep them scheduled, changed their costumes... I would probably flunk or get high blood pressure in early childhood if I took up the course. LOL

What a start for a new month, baby got into an accident this morning. He still make his way to the station to fetch me, I was still smiling to him because his looking good in his brand new T shirt. The next moment I saw his fingers were bleeding and the some parts of his bike were gone. I guess he got more internal injuries and that is worst. I have got no mood to do anything the whole day but dragged myself to work still. Sigh.

I'll do whatever I can, though I sucks at first aid. I'm afraid to see open wound, I can't cut the plaster tape properly but I'll give my best to him. My baby is strong and I hope for a speedy recovery for him!!!

Cirque on ice @ SGI'm working for this event currently and the show was awesome! It features acrobatics combined with ice dance and it's totally a great mixture. The prices range from $60,$90,$120, and it's really worth it!!! If only Indoor Stadium have such event everyday, then i'll be able to work more plus more sinful supper. Oh shit!!!

NOVEMBER BABIES

Have been busy with birthday celebrations lately but those were fun though. Get to hang out with my crazy bunch of friends. First was carol's mum birthday at NSRCC chalet and we had a great gambling sessions with the guys! So much memories of our secondary school times where we'll gamble in the classroom and hide the poker cards under the table or under our textbooks.

Then xiao fen's birthday, we went shisha yesterday night at Arab street. We played the super old school games that you probably can't think of. The OLD MAID and I almost forget how to play with the cards! LOL Oh and Police and Murderer, yes very classic kind of games but we like it:)

2012 is an awesome movie!!! It will be so scary if the world is really going to be end this way and I definitely wouldn't want to die in such a tragic situation. It actually reminds me of this book "An hour to live, An hour to love". That's my favourite book though, based on a meaningful true story.

If you know that the world is going to end and you have an hour to live, what will you do? Whenever this question triggers my mind, I will have the burning desire to stick with my love ones 24/7 but I know it's impossible. Well, let's just live life to the fullest and see whether the world is really coming to the end.

Happy Birthday to my dear Hadiboy!

That silly boy gave me a surprise last night instead. While I'm doing fruit tarts at home , he appeared at my place so early. My mum was like, "hey hadi is here, how?!" Goshhhh I can't surprise him anymore:( Then the whole night he was watching me doing those fruit tarts for him. Well at least when the clock strikes twelve, I'm right beside him singing birthday song for him!!! HAHAHA.

Super unlucky morning on his birthday, we were being stopped by a TP for the very first time at the expressway while we are on our way to school. We are not aware that the bike tale light is fused again and that caught the TP attention. I pray hard that he really gave us a verbal warning and not fine.

Alright I'm so bloody full now after the buffet feast at Sakura with Hadi, Bryce and Daryl. The food was not bad but we are just not buffet eaters! There goes my 16 rounds of running at the track this afternoon. I'm so gonna run tomorrow baby.

Finally the mini revamp in my room is almost done up and Hadi has been helping me throughout not forgetting my daddy who helped to fix my mirror. Friday night was awesome. Ben and Jerry at Dempsey Hill with hadi and the ice creams are never enough for me. Had a heavy pour last night and we stayed at Dempsey Hill till the rain subsides. I rushed home to put my stuff and everything to get ready to meet my girls. My make up was done up in 5mins time, gone case! Finally I have finished my whole WSQ basic course for security and passed both of the assessment. Soon I'll be able to apply my licencing for security officer. Yesterday was my last assessment and I'm so lucky to get such an easy going assesor.

Hadi picked me up after my assessment ended and we head to ECP. Blading was fun with him but I still suck at it. Most of the time I'm clinging on him to make sure that i don't lose balance and fall! HAHAHA! Looks stupid, i know.

Next was 3 hours of prawing and hadi is so addicted to it. Prawns for dinner:)

Only 3 days of lesson a week sounds good but my workload are extremely heavy for this last stretch of this semester before I get to graduate from my polytechnic life. Not forgetting my FYP part II, the bombastic topic which make my stress level x9876543210!
